New To Soccer?

Welcome to South Delta United Soccer Club (SDU)!

South Delta United is a growing, community-focused, not-for-profit soccer club, committed to creating a positive environment where players of all ages and skill levels can develop and thrive. With nearly 1500 kids participating in our programs, SDU continues to evolve as one of the region’s most active and engaged soccer communities.

Whether your child is just starting out or looking to compete at a higher level, we offer a variety of programs designed to build skills, foster teamwork, and encourage personal growth both on and off the field. Our offerings include recreational and competitive leagues, academy training, camps, and development programs tailored to meet each player’s needs.

Our Soccer Seasons

Fall/Winter Season: Our main competitive season runs from the week after Labour Day in September through to the start of Spring Break in March. For our grassroots programs there is usually one practice a week in Tsawwassen and one game on the weekend in Ladner. Boys typically play Saturday and Girls play Sundays. We take a short break over Christmas and pause for all statutory holidays and Halloween.

Spring & Summer Programs: We also offer Spring Sessions and Spring and Summer Break programs that are a great introduction to the game or a fun way to continue developing skills in the off-season.

Year-Round Development: All SDU programs follow the CSA’s Long Term Player Development Plan (LTPD) to ensure age-appropriate growth for every player.

Looking to register? Follow the steps below.

step 1: What AGE GROUP IS MY CHILD

Players are listed with their birth year and letter for gender primarily. For example, 2014M for boys and 2014F for girls.

Teams can also be listed in age groups as the year above their current age for that year. For example U8 (would refer to kids age 7, turning 8 in the next calendar year.)

step 2: What PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE?

Below is a sample of our main program offerings. To see all the current program offerings please refer to our program page.

step 3: how do i register?

Now that you have decided on the Program you’d like, you will need to register through our PlayMetrics system.

To access the registration system, you will need to click a register here icon. Once directed to PlayMetrics, to register in the system, you will need your personal information as well as your child’s information, such as birthdate, address, phone numbers, etc…the usual. We also may ask for your child’s school so we can look to pair up children from the same school as we look to build teams.

Once you have completed your information and profile, PlayMetrics will show you the available programs for your kid(s). Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email to the email you have used in the registration process. We encourage parents and players to access your PlayMetrics account at any time to see club communications, download the app, and check the status of your child and their team placements.

For our youngest players - U5-9 HOUSE - we generally put teams together later in August as we are usually receiving a lot of late registrations at that time. Expect to hear from us just before the season starts in early September.

If the season has already started you will need to contact the club administrator to join the waitlist. The amount of spaces available is dependent on the amount of volunteer coaches. If you would like to help out please check out Volunteer Coaching Page.

That’s it! Though you may may wish to check out our FAQ page for additional information about our programs and registration process.

In the event you need assistance from the club, we are here to help out! Please don’t hesitate to contact Kristin Biro, Club Administrator, our club administrator. She will be happy to clarify any questions you may have.
